Ahahaha! funny thinng ang nangyari sa akin kanina. while i was typing my thesis... may nangamoy na parang nasusunog na plastic or something. so sila Tito, Mama, Rap-rap and ate daisy hinahagulog, guest what im doing... nilalagay ko sa bag ko ung mga surveys ko, related lit, at laptop ko. ahahaha! praning na ata ako! kung may nangyari mangsunog....na buti na lang wala..malamang wala akong na save na ibang bagay! dahil at this momment ang mahalaga lang ay ang thesis ko.... grabe ang pranning!
You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong. You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do. You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic "Type A" personality. You are full of energy. You are spirited and boisterous. You are bold and daring. You are willing to do some pretty outrageous things. Your high energy sometimes gets you in trouble. You can have a pretty bad temper at times. You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun. You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader, and people respect you. You never give up, and you will succeed... even if it takes you a hundred tries. You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice. You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life. You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you. At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself. You are deeply philosophical and thoughtful. You tend to analyze every aspect of your life. You are intuitive, brilliant, and quite introverted. You value your time alone. Often times, you are grumpy with other people. You don't appreciate them trying to interfere in your affairs. You are incredibly wise and perceptive. You have a lot of life experience. You are a natural peacemaker, and you are especially good at helping others get along. But keeping the peace in your own life is not easy. You see things very differently, and it's hard to get you to budge. You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily. Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated. You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want. You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way! You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way. And because you're so lucky, you don't really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life. You're sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it.
that when i look out the window it doesnt mean im thinking of you. when my thoughts drift away i turn my head to look out to where my dreams were made. that when i close my eyes it doesnt mean im thinking of you. im just tired and my thoughts drift away to a time when i was happy. that when i smile it doesnt mean im contented with what i have. i try not to take things for granted and the small details of life amaze me. that when i cry it doesnt mean im in despair. ive lived a life in melancholy and ive got no tears left for sorrow. that when im happy it doesnt mean ive found you. ive been trying not to wait and every sunrise brings hope that the final day is near. that when im quiet it doesnt mean im thinking of you. i listen. i anxiously wait. got to be strong now. take a step closer.

time, they say is the best healer of all. im just about to believe it. fate, though, has a way of going through it in a shortcut. everyday i get clues from the small things that come my way.. i’ve learned to accept that what i probably want, is not meant to be. gradually the hatred subsides, the pain becomes bearable, and slowly, hope rises from within, like the morning sun. hey i feel better now. what i probably needed was to know that you are in the right hands. that you are with somebody who can love you and take care of you in the same way that i did, or even better. you are a big part of my life and like i told you, every tear that drops from your eyes is a spear to my heart. i feel better because i’ve read the words i so longed to tell you, but i just can’t get it right. i feel better because you’ve restored your faith in something that we both believed in, and it is something that i want you to live by. yep the pain is still there, but is drying up, like raindrops on my skin after a heavy downpour. i’d get by, don’t worry. as long as i see you smile, i’d be all right. suddenly the world is a better place. i no longer see lies behind your smiles. i believe you now. i give you my peace. and i have to begin finding mine. i am happy for you. i really am. i want you to know that i will always love you. coz love is never a function of time. damn. it feels good to say it.
WHAT WILL MATTER Ready or not, someday it will come to an end. There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days. All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to SoMeOnE eLsE. Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance. It will not matter what what owned or what you were owed. Your grudges, resentments, frustrations and jealousies will finally disappear. So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans and to-do lists will expire. The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away. It won’t matter where you came from, or what side of tracks you lived, at the end. It won’t matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant. Even your gender and skin color will be relevant. So what will matter? How will the value of your days be measured? What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built, not what you got, but what you gave? What will matter is not what you learned, but what you taught. What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example. What will matter is not your competence, but your character. What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel a lasting loss when you’re gone. What will matter is not your memories, but the memories that live in those who loved you. What will matter is how long you will be remembered by whom and for what? Living a life that matters doesn’t happen by accident. It’s not a matter of circumstance but of choice. Choose to live a life that matters. Author: Michael Josephson

TUESDAY FUNNIES HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHOM TO MARRY? (written by kids) You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming. -- Alan, age 10 No person really decides before they grow up who they're going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you're stuck with. -- Kristen, age 10 WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED? Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then. -- Camille, age 10 HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED? You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the some kids. -- Derrick, age 8 WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON? Both don't want any more kids. -- Lori, age 8 WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE? Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough. -- Lynnette, age 8 (isn't she a treasure) On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that Usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date. -- Martin, age 10 WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A FIRST DATE THAT WAS TURNING SOUR? From a forwarded email…
When you're down to nothing, God is up to something."
This is beautiful! Try not to cry.
She jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the
operating room. She said: "How is my little boy ? Is he going to be all
right ? When can I see him ?"
The surgeon said, "I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't
make it."
Sally said, "Why do little children get cancer ? Doesn't God care any more
? Where were you, God, when my son needed you ?"
The surgeon asked, "Would you like some time alone with your son ? One of
the nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he's transported to the
university."
Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said good bye to son. She ran
her fingers lovingly through his thick red curly hair. "Would you like a
lock of his hair ?" the nurse asked.
Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a plastic
bag and handed it to Sally.
The mother said, "It was Jimmy's idea to donate his body to the University
for Study. He said it might help somebody else. "I said no at first, but
Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die. Maybe it will help some
other little boy spend one more day with his Mom." She went on, "My
Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always wanting to
help others if he could."
Sally walked out of Children's Mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending
most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy's belongings on
the seat beside her in the car.
The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to ent er the empty house. She
carried Jimmy's belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to
her son's room.
She started placing the model cars and other personal things back in his room
exactly where he had always kept them. She laid down across his bed and,
hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep.
It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Laying beside her on the bed was a
folded letter. The letter said :
"Dear Mom, I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will
ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say "I
Love You" . I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day.
Someday we will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little
boy so you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old
stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably
wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and
stuff girls like, you know. Don't be sad thinking about me. This really is a
neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me
around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are so
cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know what? Jesus doesn't look like any
of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus himself took me
to see GO D ! And guess what, Mom ? I got to sit on God's knee and talk to Him,
like I was somebody important. That's when I told Him that I wanted to write
you a letter, to tell you good bye and everything. But I already knew that
wasn't allowed. Well, you know what Mom ? God handed me some paper and His own
personal pen to write you this letter. I think Gabriel is the name of the angel
who is going to drop this letter off to you. God said for me to give you the
answer to one of the questions you asked Him 'Where was He when I needed him ?'
"God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on
the cross. He was right there, as He always is with all His children. Oh, by
the way, Mom, no one else can see what I've written except you. To everyone
else this is just a blank piece of paper. Isn't that cool ? I have to give God
His pen back now. He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life.
Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm sure the food wi
ll be great.
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore. The cancer is all gone.
I'm glad because I couldn't stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to
see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get
me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery ! How about that ?
Signed with Love from God, Jesus & Me.

THIS POEM IS MADE BY A GOOD FRIEND OF MINE. maganda siya... it made you feel na you have a responsibility...hindi lang dapat sa sarili...may responsibilidad ka sa buong bansa...na touch talaga ako...so here it is...
"BEING AN ATHLETE"
being an athlete is not easy, because they are extraordinary, they serves as heroes to their country, because they give honor and glory...
some people are proud, and appreciate what they've done, but some people are not, because they thought everything is just a game...
maybe it is just a game, but it's hard to prepare for that game, they burn blood sweat and tears, to be able to win and achieve their dreams...
their heart was build with strong desire, that's why they are loved and admired, they never gave up from gods test, that's why athletes are the best...
they fight for our country, they fight for our honor and glory, they fight with all their heart, so never underestimate an athletes heart....

Maganda rin naman ang naidudulot ng
pagiging prangka ni Senador Miriam
Defensor-Santiago. Ayon kay Santiago ,
marami ang tumatakbong Senador
dahil sa laki ng budget na ibinibigay sa
kanila kada buwan.
Lumalabas na P35,000 suweldo nila kada buwan
ay pakitang-tao lang sa
milyun-milyong budget ng bawat senador. Kada
buwan ay may Fixed Monthly
Budget ang bawat Senador ng humigit-kumulang
P2 Milyon.
Sa opisina pa lang nila ay humigit-kumulang
P500,000 and budget nila sa
Maintenance and Operating Expenses (Rental,
Utilities, Supplies at
Domestic
Travels) at P500,000 para sa Staff at Personal
expenses. Kaya para
makatipid ang ibang Senador, kaunti lang ang
staff na kinukuha nila.
Nagtataka ka pa kung bakit mayroong mga Ghost
Employee?
Bukod diyan, may P760,000 allowance pa
sila kada buwan para naman sa
Foreign Travel. At ang masakit pa nito, hindi na
kailngan i-liquidate
Senado.
There's food for everybody 'ika nga! Lumalabas
sasakyan.
PLEASE FORWARD TO AS MANY OF YOUR
FRIENDS AND LET THE WHOLE COUNTRY
KNOW THAT ELECTION IS MORE OF PUTTING
AMBITIOUS PEOPLE IN POSITION WHO
ARE GREEDY IN POWER, WEALTH & PRESTIGE
THAN OF PUBLIC SERVICE. ANG
MASAKIT PA PERA NG BAYAN PARIN GAGAMITIN
SA ELEKSYON MALUKLOK LANG ANG
MGA BUWAYA SA PWESTO :-)
this are from my emails (forwarded mails)... i just wanted to share with you guys..:)
There was
a blind girl who hated herself just because she's blind.
She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He's always there for her.
She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she can see everything,
including her boyfriend.
Her boyfriend asked her, "now that you can see the world, will you marry
me?"
The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend is blind too, and refused
to marry him.
Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later ! wrote a letter to her saying.
"JUST TAKE CARE OF MY EYES DEAR."
This is how humans change when their status changes.
Only few remember what life was before, and who has always been there in the
most painful situations.
TODAY BEFORE YOU THINK OF SAYING AN UNKIND WORD.
THINK OF SOMEONE WHO CAN'T SPEAK.
BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT THE TASTE OF YOUR FOOD
THINK OF SOMEONE WHO HAS NOTHING TO EAT.
BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR HUSBAND OR WIFE
THINK OF SOMEONE WHO'S CRYING OUT TO GOD FOR A COMPANION.
TODAY BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT LIFE.
THINK OF SOMEONE WHO WENT TOO EARLY TO HEAVEN.
BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN.
THINK OF SOMEONE WHO DESIRES CHILDREN BUT THEY'RE BARREN.
BEFORE YOU ARGUE ABOUT YOUR DIRTY HOUSE, SOMEONE DIDN'T CLEAN OR SWEEP
THINK OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE LIVING IN THE STREETS.
BEFORE WHINING ABOUT THE DISTANCE YOU DRIVE
THINK OF SOMEONE WHO WALKS THE SAME DISTANCE WITH THEIR FEET.
AND WHEN YOU ARE TIRED AND COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR JOB
THINK OF THE UNEMPLOYED, THE DISABLED AND THOSE WHO WISHED THEY HAD YOUR JOB.
BUT BEFORE YOU THINK OF POINTING THE FINGER OR CONDEMNING ANOTHER.
REMEMBER THAT NOT ONE OF US ARE WITHOUT SIN AND WE ALL ANSWER TO ONE MAKER.
AND WHEN DEPRESSING THOUGHTS SEEM TO GET YOU DOWN
PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE AND THANK GOD YOU'RE ALIVE AND STILL AROUND.
-- He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow
of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I! trust."

OVERVIEW:
Who would have thought that two different worlds would find
themselves entangled with each other after 3 years?! Yep, this story is one.
Meet Marc and Alexa. Growing up in the name same
neighborhood made them closer. But then, Marc was sent to an exclusive school
for boys while Alexa has to go to a Co-ed school. After each school day, the
two would meet up in the subdivision¡¦s playground to talk about everything
that has happened in their respective schools. Alexa would convince Marc to
transfer to her school so that he would experience the "real world".
Eventually, Marc decided to transfer to Alexa's school. Much to his surprise,
Alexa was way different in her school. She was really popular, talented, a
trend-setter, but quite a mean girl. As Marc tried to get Alexa's company, he
was easily pushed away by her. Alexa would often ignore Marc whenever they pass
by each other. Marc then decided that maybe it would be better if he would just
step off. As Alexa would try to talk to Marc right after school, Marc would
just pretend he cannot hear anything, whatsoever. This made Alexa pissed off.
Their worlds became separated. Marc became the most intelligent guy in their
class. He was always the top student. While Alexa was purely enjoying her fame.
But she was too superficial; she didn't even care about her academics. But
then, who would know what these two can do?
The day of choosing the School Paper staff arrive, Alexa and
Marc tried out. Alexa didn't know that Marc tried out, neither did Marc. They
were both accepted, Alexa was asked by the school paper adviser to keep her
acceptance as a secret because she would be working as the writer for Girl's
Advice Column. Alexa was delighted. Marc was her counterpart. Neither of them
knew that they were working together.
Ignoring each other became a habit. Their classmates would
often ask why they don't talk but everybody knows that they live in the same
village, even the same streets. They just snap at people whenever they ask that
question.
At last, the Senior Prom week was approaching. Alexa was
waiting for the School Varsity Captain of Basketball to ask her to the Prom.
Unfortunately, the Basketball team captain didn't even dare to ask Alexa
because he knew that Alexa was someone superficial and
should-not-be-taken-seriously. Alexa was pretty confident that somebody would
ask her...she even hoped that Marc would. The day before the Prom arrived,
Alexa was pretty desperate. But she was reassured by her friends that somebody
would ask her to the Prom. No one did. Alexa thought that maybe Marc would have
the heart to ask her to dance, after all they were friends. Alexa still went to
the Prom, she wore her favorite bracelet, that particular charm bracelet has a
prayer. Alexa said that when that charm bracelet gets lost, and was picked up
by a man, that man would bring it back to her and be the man that was meant for
her...her Mr. Right...her destiny. But if it doesn't come back, then her love
life would not exist forever.
Alexa was the most beautiful girl that night. People were
wondering why she didn't have a date. Marc attended the Prom but he didn't have
a date either. As the night flew, Alexa was just watching couples dancing the
night away; Marc, who was sitting on the other side of the hall, couldn't care
less Alexa spotted Marc, Marc also looked at Alexa. She thought Marc would go
near her and ask her to dance and to forget about their pretensions and just be
friends again, but she was disappointed. Marc didn't even move, he just looked
away and started playing with his water glass. Alexa was fed up, she was really
mad at Marc; she thought that Marc did that on purpose, humiliating her in
their Prom. She was really mad and swore that Marc would be erased in her life.
When Alexa stood up, her charm bracelet dropped...Alexa wasn't aware of
anything. She just decided to go home and not even wait for the announcement of
King and Queen of the Prom.
Marc made his way outside the hall; suddenly he stepped on
something hard and chunky. It was a bracelet; he picked it up and just stared
at it. But he didn't even care who owned that bracelet, he just slipped it in
his pocket and went straight home.
Alexa was announced Queen of the Night, Marc won the title
of the King of the Prom. But neither of them claimed the trophy. They were both
out.
Alexa was looking through her window and noticed that Marc's
lights were still on. She thought that Marc was really a creep and she will
never ever speak to him again. She was really thankful that it was their last
Prom. She would go to a far away university; take up a course that is related
to writing. Try to be somebody new, somebody down-to-earth, and somebody who
has depth. She would live simple, as somebody who needs to be taken seriously.
Marc also noticed that Alexa¡¦s lights were still on; he
thought that Alexa should try to change her personality and be somebody
different. He reached for his pocket and got a hold on the bracelet, he said to
himself that he would keep the bracelet. If he would meet the girl that was
meant for her, he will give the bracelet to her.
After the summer, Marc and Alexa went to two different
universities. They took up the same course. After three years of studying,
Alexa was a consistent honor. She was really proud of herself because she has
changed. She got accepted as an intern in a prestigious Television Network to
work for a new project, a TV series. Every night, she would turn on her
computer, and meet her lovable and adorable ¡§chat mate¡¨. Her chat mate was a
writer, just like her. She would tell him everything except of course, her
personal life. The two of them decided to keep each other¡¦s identity as a
secret as soon as they meet each other in person. But Alexa was really enjoying
her chat mate. They were really close and they knew that one day, they would
meet and who knows maybe they were meant for each other.
Marc, of course, was also the top student. He got accepted
for an internship in a big Television Network to work for a new project, a TV
series. Every night, he would tell her ¡§cyber girlfriend¡¨ about the things
that were happening to him. He really loved every moment that he spent with his
¡§cyber girlfriend¡¨. He wrote poems for her and talked to her in a very
different manner. Even though, Marc didn¡¦t even know her real name, he was
sure of this girl. The day that he would meet this girl, is the day that he
would give the bracelet, the day he would be the happiest guy in the world.
The call for the interns has arrived; Alexa arrived very early
and met her fellow interns. She was enjoying every minute of it. They were
called by the boss for the orientation, but somebody was still not present. The
body decided to wait for the person, who was as written in the record was a
very intelligent man and a very talented writer. Alexa can¡¦t help to think
that maybe her chat mate and the intern are the same person, her destiny. After
waiting, at last the door cracked open, just then a tall guy entered. He has a
fair complexion, very neat hair, fine features and dressed in respectable
attire. Alexa was wishing he would be the guy of her dreams¡Kher chat mate, but
reality check: The boss called the guy ¡§Marc?! Are you Marc¡¨ Alexa was
flabbergasted, Marc?! The Marc neighbor?! The Marc classmate?! The Marc creep?!
Oh no¡KOH NO!
Marc sat next to Alexa; he didn¡¦t even know the girl beside
her. Why was this girl staring at him? The girl was pretty, and of course
talented, she wouldn¡¦t be there if she wasn¡¦t. If she would just stop looking
at him and just act normal maybe it would be wonderful if the girl beside her
is her ¡§cyber girlfriend¡¨. Besides, her ¡§cyber girlfriend¡¨ is also a
writer. But why is she looking at him like that?! The boss called: ¡§Ms.
Alexa?! Can I get your attention, please?!¡¨ The girl beside him answered,
¡§Oh, I apologize, ma¡¦am,¡¨
¡§Great¡Kthis is the Alexa from neighborhood?! The Alexa
from high school?! C¡¦mon, why did I ever think she could be my girlfriend?¡¨
The two of them and the rest of the interns are going to
help the Television team to come up with a new TV series for two months. Not
only they are working there as an intern, but they are also working for a sure
spot in the TV network. Only one of them would be chosen, who would it be?!
Alexa and Marc are ON.
Would I continue?! Or not?! TELL ME! Of course, this is not
the final plot; it is still subject to change, depending on your comments and suggestion!
Please give me your opinion! º Thank you very much
Did You
Know... ?
If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough
sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.
(Hardly seems worth it.)
If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced
to create the energy of an atomic bomb.
(Now that's more like it!)
The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps out to the body to
squirt blood 30 feet.
(O.M.G.!)
A pig's orgasm lasts 30 minutes.
(In my next life, I want to be a pig.)
A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death.
(Creepy.)
(I'm still not over the pig.)
Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour.
(Do not try this at home. Maybe at work.)
The male praying mantis cannot copulate while its head is attached to its
body. The female initiates sex by ripping the male's head off.
("Honey, I'm home. What the....???!!!")
The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It's like a human jumping the
length of a football field.
(30 minutes... lucky pig. Can you imagine??)
The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds.
(What could be so tasty on the bottom of a pond?)
Some lions mate over 50 times a day.
(I still want to be a pig in my next life...quality over quantity)
Butterflies taste with their feet.
(Something I always wanted to know.)
The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.
(Hmmmmmm........)
Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed
people.
(If you're ambidextrous, do you split the difference?)
Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump.
(OK, so that would be a good thing....................)
A cat's urine glows under a black light.
(I wonder who was paid to figure that out?)
An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain.
(I know some people like that.)
Starfish have no brains.
(I know some people like that too.)
Polar bears are left-handed.
(If they switch, they'll live a lot longer.)
Humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure.
(How about the pig????)
Ubreak My Heart
Too many tears i cried and still cry over you. I know somewhere out there joy
is possible without you but my pain eats me up and leaves me lost. Tommorow i
will cry one less tear because i know out there my blessing from God is
searching for me. He will see me for the beauty that i am, a treasure worth
appreciating...
What's a meantime girl?
She's the one you call when you're bored because she makes you laugh.
She's the one you talk to when you're feeling down because she's willing to
lend an ear and be a friend.
She's not the one you call when you need a date to your company's Christmas
party, or to go dancing with on a Saturday night.
She's the one you spend time with between girlfriends, before you find
"The One". You know, the one who you keep around in the meantime.
She's not one of the guys, not a tomboy, but you don't look at her as a
"real" woman, either.
She's not bitchy enough, moody enough, or sexy enough to be seen in that light.
She's too laid-back, too easily amused by the same things your male buddies are
amused by.
She's too understanding, too comfortable - she doesn't make you feel nervous or
excited the way a "real" woman does.
But she's cool, and nice, and funny, and attractive enough that when you're
lonely or horny and need intimate female companionship, she'll do just fine.
You don't have to wine and dine her because she knows the real you already, and
you don't have any facades to keep up, no pretenses to preserve.
You're not trying to get anything of substance out of her.
She's not easy, but you know that she cares about you and is attracted to you,
and that she'll give you the intimacy you need.
And you know you don't have to explain yourself or the situation, that she'll
be able to cope with the fact that this isn't the beginning of a relationship
or that there's any possibility that you have any real romantic feelings for
her.
It won't bother her that you'll get up in the morning, put on your pants, say
goodbye, and go on a date with the woman you've been mooning over for weeks who
finally agreed to go out with you.
She'll settle for a goodbye hug and a promise to call her and tell her how the
date went.
She's just so cool . . . why can't all women be like that?!
But deep down, if you really think about it (which you probably don't be cause
to you, the situation between the two of you isn't important enough to merit
any real thought), you know that it's really not fair.
You know that although she would never say it, it hurts her to know that
despite all her good points and all the fun you two have, you don't think she's
good enough to spend any real time with.
Sure, it's mostly her fault, because she doesn't have to give in to your needs
- she could play the hard-to-get bitch like the rest of them do, if she really wanted
to.
But you and she both know that she probably couldn't pull it off.
Maybe she's too short, or a little overweight, or has a big birthmark on her
forehead, or works at Taco Bell.
Whatever the reason, somehow life has given her a lot of really great qualities
but has left out the ones that men want (or think they want) in a woman.
So she remains forever the funny friend, the steadfast companion, the secret
lover, and you go on searching for your goddess who will somehow be everything
you ever wanted in a woman.
You'll joke to her that she should be the best man at your wedding, and she'll
laugh and make a joke about a smelly rental tux.
She doesn't captivate you with her beauty, or open doors with her smile.
Mainly she blends in with the crowd. She's safe. She doesn't want to be the
center of attention and turn the heads of everyone in the room.
But she wants to turn someone's head. She wants to be special to someone, too.
We all do.
She has feelings. She has a heart. In fact, she probably has a bigger and
better heart than any woman you've ever known because she's had a front-row
seat to The Mess That Is Your Life, and she likes you anyway.
She obviously sees something worthwhile and redeeming in you because although
you've given her nothing, absolutely no reason to still be around, she is.
Anyway, yeah. I'm a Meantime Girl. Been one more times than I care to admit.
I don't know the reason, really, and at this point I don't even care.
I just want to let every guy know who's ever had the good fortune to have a
Meantime Girl that we may be a lot of fun, but we cry, too. A lot.
And someday we won't be around.
